Few on the three of ours instagram accounts at the moment. When I get a chance tonight I’m planning on editing some up. Then fight my slow upload speed to YouTube.

It was a good day out. I was hoping j53 would get on top and do his idle thing and go and make the loop. This is the same spot we hit last trip a month ago or so. We went on our tracks which were under 2 feet of snow or more hit the end of our tracks and stopped dead. Even moving over we couldn’t move more than a vehicle length. The minivan was working awesome. Steve found some power in the old flatty. The throttle was hanging up on the rad support so it only had 1/2 throttle when i drove it. He turned the front tires around so it steers. Worked well all day. Most of the day my minivan was up past the cladding on my doors and unable to open them but it kept going.

Went out this weekend. Disaster.  All three of us stuck with 20 feet of pavement with the crown going to the Mitsubishi jeep. Brian took a really bad line where he nearly front flipped. The decent was done with back tires a couple feet in the air until the grill stopped the flip at the bottom of the ditch. Was a 2 winch recovery. I was up the road in the pullout helping Steve unload the flatty when we seen Brian’s poor line choice.  The snow favored Brian the the flatty.  I struggled to follow until I broke through a thick crust with sugar under it.  Steve tried to back the flatty up but broke through got stuck. Now Brian backed up and got stuck. So Steve and Brian used both winches and hooked up front and rear to winch themselves forwards and backwards to turn around. I shoveled out my wj about 3 times and couldn’t move. Eventually they got to me and Brian pulled me back with a pulley block.  We were stuck for a really long time.  Made it 2.5 km up the road all day.

You can see the snow in the headlight and fender from the near flip.

Made it out with pansy.  Normally this is just a really rough road but the big snow drifts made it a challenge. We had to walk the final bit to get to the top lookout. The flatty on small tires and mine couldn’t make it and the Mitsubishi slid off the road on a side hill. He self recovered and came back. The way out the spot in the video where the Mitsubishi sidehills was a challenge for me. I couldn’t get back up the hill and the Mitsubishi had a tough time getting me up. Even pulley blocked it wouldn’t budge me. Eventually with me getting towed back down the hill and him pulling from the front we wore a hole through to get me out but then I slid over the bank sideways within a inch of taking the side out of my street jeep. Anyways. Beauty day. Took the bbq and cooked lunch and supper on the mountain.

Here’s the map I marked up for someone else. The blue circle is where you turn off mable lake rd from Enderby.  And the green squiggle is the road to the tower. With looking around id plan for 8 hours.  It’s a super beautiful place. Just a long rough road.   If I have my red beast running I’m planning a shot up hunters range later too. Not sure when or if.  I need to get both diffs swapped.  When you’re headed this way I can help you with either place if you want even if I can’t make it.

i'll check out the map book, we are still planning my trip through chilcotins end of aug into sept long, was planning to do a wheel down there around Kamloops, was looking at the trail north of the highway cant think of it now at work but shushaps, parts of old big bend gold rush trail, will check this out on the map book and get back to you on it.

wifes brother though just got into a big wreck in his jeep, rolled it many times, jk roof broke apart and he got ejected through the roof, broke his arm and wrist lots of stitches everywhere but other wise alright, he may not be wheeling for a while.

What day did you go up?  I was in Vernon with the Comanche on Saturday/Sunday...  Would have loved to go along.

Was up there Sunday.  If anyone’s in the Enderby area with anything to drive, definitely hit me up. Going through some big changes at home so I’m not sure how much I’ll be getting out but I’ll try to go when I can.
